I work in the metal manufacturing industry. Reading your blog, I just wanted to tell you that there's one place you could find German Silver in a sheet big enough, though the thinnest guage you can get it in 2' wide sheets is .032....don't know if that's thin enough. If you go to online metals.com, and look in their brass section, you'll see nickel silver (same thing), C700. In that section, go to .032 thickness and order a custom size. You can get up to a 24" wide by 96" long sheet. Just in case you ever want to build a German Silver guitar....
