    Modest Mavis

    This not-so Modest Mavis was sold yesterday but there’s more where this came from. The Modest Mavis are our chance to stretch our luthier-legs a bit and try some new ideas that (usually) don’t add much to the $2700 price. There’s no wait list and you can’t order them - we make what we can make for the week and put them on the website Monday mornings. When you hear dramatically different sounds and a guitar reacts in unexpected ways you make different music choices: that’s inspiration. The Mavis will surprise and influence your playing.

    If you ever get a wild hair and make a Modest Mavis with a cutaway and a volume knob, just go ahead and consider it sold-to me. I like them all, but that would be the best.
