Mule

I just got a Mavis and I would like to use a Dunlop strap look. I know the top strap button should work but I don’t know if the strap button on the bottom will work?

I  tried it on my stainless mule, but the screw on the bottom diameter is too big and really long.

Any advice would be appreciated?
