Misty morning coffee

The moment before something important is said on a morning walk with a new love or an old one. The lift after. The coffee. The pause between casts on a winter steelhead stream. The second glove pulled off, the shovel leans against a unweathered post. I wrote this melody this morning, “Misty Morning Coffee” on this guitar. It’s for sale on the website and I wanted to record a video of it. I started playing. What I heard it in mixed with what I was thinking about, what I was feeling about, and the next notes presented themselves. Had it been a different guitar the melody would have been different. I might not have found one. This melody exists because of the how this particular guitar influenced and expressed something important to me - peace during tension. Equanimity. Instruments can do that, if you let them.
